Who is FRED?

Despite popular belief, our founders name wasn’t Fred. FRED actually stands for Freshly Roasted Every Day, clever huh! Founded in 2000, Fred began as a small garage institution (like all good companies do). Roasting coffee on a traditional drum roaster, the aim was never to compete with the big players with reps on the road, branded umbrellas, and supermarket shelves. The goal is simple: to create great, fresh coffee for the everyday Kiwi. Because we all deserve the simple pleasure of a fresh coffee - morning, afternoon, or night.
